I just heard about this crazy thing that Matt Lauer, from the Today Show did – apparently he was given a bunch of sex toys as part of some weird sort of joke and he decided to use them! This seems pretty outrageous, but I suppose if you’re a celebrity, you think you can get away with anything.
When I read the news, I thought to myself ‘oh my gosh, what did Matt Lauer do with sex toys?’ I couldn’t believe it – he actually had the audacity to try and use them! It’s just ridiculous – what was he thinking?
As you can imagine, the Internet is having a field day with this whole thing. People are calling him out for being sleazy and making jokes about what he was thinking when he decided to try and use the sex toys. Some people are getting downright angry, saying that it’s offensive to women and a sign of disrespect.
I’m not so sure that I agree with those people – after all, it’s not like Matt Lauer was trying to hurt anyone or anything. He was just playing a silly joke and trying to have a laugh. However, there’s no denying that it’s still a pretty poor choice of behaviour.
Personally, I think this whole thing with Matt Lauer and the sex toys is just a silly little blip on the radar – it’s not like it’s going to have any lasting impact on his career or anything. That being said, I’m sure it’s taught him a valuable lesson – that there’s a time and a place for everything and some jokes are better left in the bedroom!
That being said, I can understand why some people are so angry about this incident – it’s certainly a distasteful thing to do and if you had been the one at the receiving end of those jokes, you wouldn’t be too happy either.
I’m sure it was just a momentary slip up on Matt Lauer’s part, but it’s still something he should have considered more carefully. I mean, these weren’t just any jokes – they involved sex toys! That’s a pretty serious matter and it’s important to be respectful when dealing with matters of sexuality.
